DjSFM is a native of Martinique.
Bathing in the world of music since his childhood, he has a lot of experience. He grew up between Martinique and Paris with the sound of the Festivals, Gwo ka, biggine, reggae and zouk, sixties and eighties before going into the club scene in Paris. He also discovered underground and urban culture music, rhythms and funky house and soul.
The love of music has driven him to share his passion with others across the country during his periods of travelling and in the cities of Paris and Berlin where he has been living.
From Martinique to Paris
In Martinique, he got his first Djembe for his 10th birthday and learned the traditional music of the West Indies.
He arrived in Paris at the age of 18 where he discovered the Djing.
Fascinated by music, he bought his first turntables at the age of 20.
Very quickly, he noticed the lack of events in the department of Seine et Marne (77). and decided to move in Berlin 1998

Die Arbeit von Kengy Klan ist inspiriert von der Freiheit seiner Kindertage auf der karibischen Insel Martinique und vom urbanen Leben in Paris und Berlin. Seine Leidenschaft ist die elektronische Musik, insbesondere Minimal. Außerdem ist Kengy Klan ein leidenschaftlicher Percussionist und komponiert seine eigene Musik.
Kengy Klan ist ausgebildeter Musiker. Er studierte an der Kunstschule SERMAC in (Fort-de-France) Trommel und Tanz. Er arbeitet seit vielen Jahren in Europa mit Musikern und Agenturen aus verschiedenen Kulturen zusammen. Mit 20 Jahren hat Kengy Klan bereits angefangen, seine Musik in Pariser Clubs und auf Veranstaltungen zu präsentieren. Er war Mitglied der Bands Biguine 972 und Jumpy Roots. Bekannt wurde er auch durch die erfolgreiche CD-Produktion der beiden Gruppen.
Seit 1998 lebt und arbeitet Kengy Klan in Berlin. Sein großes Musik-Repertoire umfasst die Mischung verschiedener Stile wie Afro Beat Latin, Classic Disco House und DUB House, Techno Minimal, Elektro.
