Daniel Macharia Ngotho (Dj Gee Gee) is inspired by transmitting hope to this generation through music. He has refined his art in Disc Jockeying (DJing) through corporate events, media appearances, marketing and activation events, local and international concerts and charity events.
Today, DJ Gee Gee is a force to reckon in the gospel entertainment scene. Through TV, radio and live event streams, he has delivered quality entertainment that inspired hope to the young and old alike.

IDENTITY

One of the identities of DJ Gee Gee is his sensitivity to his audience. He has refined the art of communicating with audiences using music to influence the environment; hype, lift up, tone down, cheer, energize and lead a large or small group to a wonderful musical destiny.

His people centric nature also helps him to blend well with audiences and deliver memorable events. Coupled with his diverse genre in music, he is able to communicate effectively to mature, youth and young adult audiences.

His divergent experience in entertainment, edutainment and corporate events has developed a rich blend that enables him to transverse multiple DJ functions. His craft has been polished to professional and international standards.

MUSICAL JOURNEY

DJ Gee Gee’s debut dawned in 2007 when he was DJ for the Celtel Xtreme Weekend with Stellar, Dove and Grammy award winning artist Kirk Franklin.

2009: DJ Gee Gee was selected as one of the headlining DJs and opened for Chevelle Franklin (Dancehall and Reggae recording artist) during her concert tour LIVE in Nairobi, Kenya.

DJ Gee Gee joined Tri Crew and instigated a radio show dubbed Trinity Connect on Homeboyz Radio with Allan T, DJ Sanch and DJ Nyash that airs to date.

His DJ sets also aired on The Donnie Mc Clurkin show, The Hottest Home Hotspot WORLDWIDE with Angie Bee in Orlando, Florida and The Sunday Night Praise Break on WHCR 90.3 FM in Harlem, New York with Tina Dixon.

2010: He was awarded at the annual Mwafaka Awards. He also became the official DJ for one of the (then) top gospel hip-hop artists in Kenya “Eko Dydda”.

He was the official DJ for Da’ T.R.U.T.H in his Big Picture Tour (Africa), in Kenya.

2011: DJ Gee Gee was the official DJ for Flame’s (Grammy Nomination, four Dove Nominations and 3 Stellar Awards) Captured Tour Africa, Kenya edition.

He also received his first nomination in the Safaricom’s Annual Groove Awards and has been nominated 5 times to date. He was also involved in the Groove Tour events tours around Kenya.

In June of 2011, he toured 12 cities in 3 European countries (Norway, Sweden and Germany) with a local recording artist Kevo Juice on a tour dubbed “Stay Alive”.

2012: he was the official DJ for the Move Tour (Africa Edition) with American artists Da’ T.R.U.T.H, Ambassador, Sean Simmons and Jahaziel.
He made guest appearances on the show Tukuza, one of the top 3 television network in Kenya KTN sitting in for DJ Krowbar.

2013: DJ Gee Gee was the main DJ for one of Kenya’s top gospel artist, Gloria Muliro’s album launch “Msaidizi” at NPC Valley Road.
DJ Gee Gee signed contracts with leading entertainment companies in the gospel music industry, Kubamba Company and the number one TV station Citizen TV and had his first TV appearance as the official DJ for the show alongside Kambua and DJ Moz. He travels all over Kenya for live shows. DJ Gee Gee also grew as a TV Host sitting in for DJ Moz and Kambua in their absence.

He was the official DJ for an African Event dubbed “The Invasion” that happened in Kenya and he was the DJ for Zambian recording artists Mag 44 and Abel Chungu.

He also hosted an award event dubbed “KMVA” (Kubamba Music Video Awards) alongside Kambua and Citizen TV’s Kanze Dena (News Anchor for Nipashe). He was included in the panel for selecting the nominees and winners for the event.

He was one of the main DJ’s at the annual New Year’s Eve event, “TSO” (Totally Sold Out).

2014: DJ Gee Gee was the official DJ for the Live Life Loud Pan-African Tour featuring renown gospel hip hop artist Sho Baraka (116 Clique Co-founder) and London based gospel hip hop artist S.O.

He is currently the official VDJ and Co Host for the gospel TV show “Bambika” on Citizen TV that airs every Sunday from 11am to 1pm.

From the time of inception to present, DJ Gee Gee hosts the weekly Radio show “Trinity Connect” a.k.a The 4th Service which airs every Sunday from 9pm to 11pm on Homeboyz radio 103.5 FM.

He was also one of the DJs on the “Inuka” radio show that aired from 2013 to January 2015 on Hot 96, weekdays from 11am to 2pm.
He is part of the official DJs for various urban events like MadLove Lounge, The Vault and Verse 5.

DJ Gee Gee is also a member of an International DJ Association, One Accord DJ Alliance.

He is also part of the Gospel DJs which is a platform where the DJs’ in the gospel industry in Kenya congregate to deliberate how to build the industry and act as gate keepers to filter what goes on air in the media platforms.

SPECIAL APPEARANCES

Gee Gee has been a guest DJ at the WAPI (Words And Pictures) event, sponsored by the British Council.

Has has made countless of appearances on Mwamba on Homeboyz Radio 103.5 FM with Jay Njoroge, DJ Sadic and DJ Touch.

He has appeared on various music videos like: Niko Na Reason by Eko Dydda and Holy Dave, Fresh and Clean by Kevo Juice, Full Control by S.P.A.T and Celebrate by S.P.A.T among others.

He is also a judge on an annual competition and mentorship programme called "Gifted DJ's by Groove Networks.

PHILANTHROPY APPEARANCES

He played at an event to raise money to distribute Bibles around Kenya dubbed “Run for the Bibless” by the Bible Society of Kenya.
He also played at “Let me Live Concert” an event that was organized to raise money for Caleb Kipkan, a boy who was suffering from Leukemia.
