Chris Deza

New York, United States

For the last 2 decades DJ Chris Deza has been doing what he loves the most, creating the ambiance to take control of the dance floor while making sure everyone is having a good time .

From the young age of 5 this latin kid from Brooklyn, NY has had a passion for music. Having 2 older brothers that used to DJ as a hobby and a father who was a music aficionado, gave him the roots and music diversity that has brought him success over the last 20 years.

He recalls how he used to practice in the family's basement for hours, mimicking what he heard on the radio mix shows from DJ's like Glenn Friscia & Little Louie Vega. He used to save every dollar he could mustard up during the week to hit up Beat Street on the weekend for new music.

He first started playing for family and friends, summer cookouts and block parties. That eventually led him to weddings, sweet 16's and birthdays. His first corporate event was for a Wall Street firm back in 1994. It was from that event that he impressed the right people and made the right connections that landed him in his first club gig, at the legendary Palladium in New York.

From that moment on the story tells itself, moving on to hold residencies and play at some of most prestigious nightclubs across New York City and Miami. Over the years he has played at over 500 night clubs spanning the U.S., Canada, South America, Europe and the tropical island of Puerto Rico. He has entertained some of Hollywood's biggest name celebrities, DJ for numerous magazine and industry parties among them FHM, MTV and Latina Magazine.

In 1998 he got a chance to do something different, a mix show for college radio station in New York. Along with him on the show was Lisa Rodriguez, Frikkiao, DJ Willie and DJ Rated R. He says "it was something different, sometime wild". It was another way to entertain and reach out to his core audience. Since then he has gone on to do shows for New York radio stations La Mega 97.9fm, Caliente 105.9fm, KTU 103.5fm and El Zol 95.7fm in Miami, Florida.

Having accomplished so much in the last 2 decades, you can still catch Chris Deza doing what he loves most... Making people dance. It is the passion and love for music that keeps him going. "Every party is a new experience for him to control."
