In the mid eights, a new music trend emerged in Kenya following the success of the R & B based soul movement. This new trend was driven by a driving thumping genre crafted and refined in Chicago and spread like fire around the world. This mix is reminiscent of early house music in Kenya as almost exclusively played at Ainsworth/Boomerang. This is also a tribute to my fallen late great brother Michael "Bay" Gitonga who everytime this music plays comes back to life for me. Cheers
