Dennis Déjanté

--exhausted, self-destructed, devastated--
Dreaming of a better World!

Dennis Déjanté took his first steps as an artist already at the end of the 90s. Back then he was the MC of a small rap-crew. He soon realised however that this combo of young performers had no future. Frustrated, depressed and disappointed by a hip-hop scene that he considered largely as homophobic and chauvinistic, Dennis put the mike aside and was barley active during the following years. It was in 2005 that he was introduced to electronic music by a friend who was also working as a DJ in the hip-hop scene at the beginning of the 2000s. The foundation for his musical work was laid.

Having the cheapest turntables money could buy and a substandard mixer he launched his career in 2007 to express his creativity. His rapidly growing record collection and the possibilities that went along with it, finally persuaded him to devote himself to digital DJing. Still sceptical at the beginning but quickly captivated by the almost endless possibilities of the digital world, he soon realised that this style of DJing was truer to his standards and his style.

“Art lives off the moment. It captures the emotions of artists. Planning restricts, it renders everything inflexible and leaves almost no room for interpretations or expressions of emotions.“ says Dennis Déjanté. This can be heard in his sets. Not even one resembles the other. There are no prepared playlists or effectpatterns and no ready-made transitions. No one knows what comes next. His music is unpredictable and spontaneous and always a pleasure to dance to, just as beautiful as life should be.
