Where it all started!

I used to enjoy throwing Hip Hop acapellas over instrumentals/beats live in my DJ sets way back in the day. My good friend Sermad said that some of these blends were too good not to share, so we committed this one to vinyl; originally a cheaply cut white-label that sold out in no time, followed by a less cheap repress with a printed label.

Martin Brew (J-Walk), who made the instrumental got in touch to say he was digging it & asked us to send him a few copies. (I'm still waiting on the call from Rakim!)

As with all the cuts released on Soundly Beaten records, this was produced on a Fostex FD-4 digital multitrack. No computers. Just a whole lot of editing.
