Dastardly Kuts

Funkin, Jazzin & Club Mashin DJ and producer from Brisbane, Australia.

Dastardly Kuts has been bringing his mashed up blend of disco/ funk and party style house, breaks and hip hop to Australia for the past eight years. In this time he has played every state in the country, supporting a wide range of 'big name' artists from all over the dance music spectrum and has shared the stage with the likes of Stanton Warriors, A.Skillz, Featurecast, Deekline, Hybrid, Lady Waks, The Beatnuts, Stickybuds, Slynk, All Good Funk Alliance, Philly Blunt, Butterfingers, Joel Turner, Urthboy, Sampology and Tom Drummond and has gained a reputation as one of Australia's premier party starters.

Dastardly Kuts has also cemented himself as a quality headliner in his own right, moving dance floors in clubs and festivals alike with his no nonsense style, effortlessly gliding between genres yet always retaining a backbone of pure, unadulterated funkiness. He is a regular at international club night Regrooved and has had a number of festival gigs including multiple appearances at both Blah Blah Blah as well as Brisbane's iconic Caxton St Seafood and Wine Festival. With interstate gigs galore and regular slots at some of Queenslands tastiest venues such as Cloudland, Solbar, Laruche, Zuri, Press Club, Empire and Alhambra one thing is guaranteed, when DKuts is supplying the tunes you are in for a funking good time.

Dastardly Kuts is also an accomplished music producer with releases through Tru:Funk, Actual Sounds, Sugar Rush, Sol and MK837 records and his bootlegs, mash-ups and re-edits have gained mass appeal with countless websites and blogs featuring his efforts and taking his sound to the world. In more recent times he has become a writer for the Free Breaks Blog, spreading the breaks, future-funk and ghetto-funk gospel and with a number of remixes and an EP in the works for 2014, it certainly looks like there will be no slowing down for this self-professed “funk fiend”.

He is also apart of dj/ production duo Ad'N'Kuts with Aditup. Bringing a bass heavy breaks, funk & glitch vibe that has seen them support some huge names in the scene and have the number one selling track on Juno download.
