This week for this 106th episode my guest is Chris de la Costa who was born in 1976 in northern Quebec. Chris discovered electronic music in his twenties in Montreal where he immediately decided to invest in a radio show dedicated to the promotion of Montreal electronic music scene talent. TEKNO GRÜV MONTREAL was born and it was broadcasted on CISM 89.3FM between 2003 and 2004.

Chris de la Costa sees himself above all as a dancer and it is in this love of dance that he draws his musical curiosity and his learning of the mastery of the turntables.

His work is mainly inspired by big names of the PROG and TECH scene such as Rick Pier O'Neil (RPO), Chus & Ceballos, Calderone, Green Velvet and Claptone, he is nevertheless a great admirer of the Montreal duo MONITORS composed of Erik L and Bruno Brown, two masters of sound who know how to dance Montreal on all the stages for several years already!

Chris de la Costa began his career as a DJ on vinyls in 2001. He trained at Dj School Montreal and now works with REKORDBOX on Pioneer CDJ and RJX console. His musical choices are always sought after and selected for their hypnotic sounds and their baseline TECH very well felt.

Recently CDLC took over the reins of its Tkno gruv Montreal broadcast, broadcast on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month on webphré from 18-20h, and was the invited dj for the launch party of the festivities of the Montreal Black & Blue festival, which was held 5-9 Oct.-17

CDLC was also the main dj at the black and blue recovery party, and those who know what it is know what it means.

Chris de la Costa always dances and always finds his inspiration from Dj.
