Dädalus was brought to life out of my appreciation and love for electronic sound of all kinds. Music has magnetically attracted me ever since I was a little kid, therefore I decided to dedicate my life to it.
I started playing the piano and the violin since I was 4 years of age, and I participated in international competitions by the time I got 14, including Jugend Musiziert 2003 in Milano/Italy - 2nd Place award, Piano (backing performance) for Saxophone (Jazz/Classical). Later on around that age I heard the dirty rocking sound of an E-Guitar and was fascinated by it, only at a self-taught level though.
As a teenager I discovered my passion for electronically synthesized/processed sound and had my first few gigs as a DJ at various small bars at the age of 15.
At first I used digital means to mix, a PC and a midi-controller,
but when I was 17 I firstly got my hands on turntables and experienced the warm sound of vinyl records.
Yet deejaying was just not enough for me, I wanted to bring my imagination into the game and turn my musical ideas into reality.
At first it was 8-bit sound, chiptunes and Tracker-software (FT2), then Fruity Loops and even an old dusty minimoog Voyager analog synth.
This passion towards art led me to the city of Berlin, where I initially planned on getting a major in Media Informatics, yet I finally decided to study something Audio and Music Production-related, thus coming closer to fulfilling my dream - one step at a time.
