Dance, Electronic, Shoegaze Crimewave
The Northern Nights

This track was written soon after moving from my hometown of Whitley Bay in the vicinity of Newcastle Upon Tyne to Manchester for University, and is about how whilst the nights out and events that take place feel somewhat similar to events I have already experienced back at home, they are not the same because of vastly different surroundings and friends. I would describe my sound as noise beat, as it features both the noisy-distorted sounds of shoegaze music (e.g. my bloody valentine, the jesus and mary chain) and the danceable beats of contemporary producers (e.g. hudson mohawke, aphex twin, flume).
