EARLY LIFE
Keitumetsi Modikwe Morapedi (Imut Mora) was born and raised in Daveyton, Benoni. He is one of seven siblings born to a Tswana speaking father and a Pedi speaking mother. Keitumetsi's mother passed on in 2010 the 3rd of February just days before his birthday. Keitumetsi was 16 years old when his mother passed on "... the saddest day I can never forget in my life..." said Keitumetsi. At a young age, Keitumetsi was introduced to R&B and Bubble Gum Music the older his mother listened to, and his father's musical tastes, including Funk, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Blues and Afro Jazz. At age of 10, Keitumetsi wanted to become a singer. However, at 15 he was introduced to House Music and he didn't know much of deejays but was interested in getting in the field of deejaying. Late in 2009 he did a research on deejaying and began pursuing a career in music. At 16, he was collecting songs and developing a mixing technique with cdj's his friend had. Mid 2010 Keitumetsi self taught how to produce music, he however took a break from production "...I haven't found my style and I still need to learn how to play a Guitar (Acoustic, Electric and Bass), Trumpet and a Saxophone..." said Keitumetsi. After Matric, He was introduced by a friend to other DJs who were/still are in the deejaying field, and he subsequently spent the rest of the year learning his way around deejaying techniques and the industry itself (getting the pitch, track selection, timing and pleasing the crowd (before recording his first podcast and playing other there for crowds.

Keitumetsi started his own independent record label Corpse And RawBars™ in 2012. He started going out in parties/clubs due to him being unknown and still learning the art of deejaying, DJs would let him play for 30 minutes at most. His fan base was slowly growing a demand for a podcast from fellow DJs, friends and fans was increasing daily because not many played the type of music he was/still playing the eventually on the 7th July 2014, CARB I (Part One) dropped, under his label Corpse And RawBars™ which the podcast got positive response and that led to him receiving a lot of exposure both locally and internationally. When asked why did it take so long for him to release a mixtape/podcast he answered "...I wanted to take my time and choose perfect songs for the mix. I didn't want it to sound like a mistake mixtape. And I needed to learn he industry a bit more. So I was basically gathering information..." [laughs].

Keitumetsi is booked in and around Daveyton and continues dropping podcast that serve nothing but the best of Deep House/ Deep Tech/Nu-Jazz/Neo-Soul and is still awaiting for a confirmation from his manager then he will kick start his tour in Swaziland. Keitumetsi has a very versatile and unique way of mixing which draws attention and the crowd loves the way he picks his songs (track selection), timing and just getting the mix right (the way mixing should be). With Him on the decks even when one doesn't know the song his playing you can't help but to dance to what his playing when asked how does he do it, he replied "...I was blessed to be able to do what I love! When you enjoy doing what you doing, people around you will enjoy whatever you doing..."
