Coracle

Coracle is a solo project by Leeds based producer and keys player Jonathan Doherty. It is stripped back Downtempo House and Chilled Electronica with a jazz/funk tendency. Mixing quirky beats, unusual soundscapes and live instruments this is groove based EDM at its most relaxed and understated. Doherty writes the music and words but involves as many of his musician friends as possible in the recording process. It is electronic music but with a live edge. Several of Coracle's tracks have been supported by the likes of Tom Robinson on BBC6 and have been played nationally across the BBC Introducing network in the UK. 'Come Alive' has also been playlisted by Mixx FM in Charleroi, Belgium and was a Record of the week for Scott McGerty on Amazing Radio.
