Funk Charly Hustle
Just Keep On Dancing (Charly Hustle Poppa Large EDIT) - Kocky

While working on my section for the upcoming Bicycle Breaks 4 (!!!) for my hommie, Nick Bike...I stumbled upon this infectious number by a group named Kocky. It was featured on a Joey Negro compilation, and not only did it work perfectly for the section of my mix, but I found that I couldn't get the darn thing out of my head. Here's my little blend/edit/reworking/whatever of the song...with some added elements to keep it bumping. I've always LOVED Ultramagnetic MCs, and I just kind of giggle as I listen to the amazing Poppa Large acapella that I usually associate with a super-funky and menacing beat, instead over top of this bouncy and fun number. It's fun and fairly elemental: 1 catchy disco/funk tune + 1 DOPE Kool Keith acapella + 1 percussive drum sample (Phenomena Theme...also to be used on my upcoming Hustle & Thrive album)= 1 party.
