Music and sounds of Beat16

After hearing Out of the Blue for the first time in 1998 Beat 16 was instantly hooked onto the trance sound. Ferry Corsten under his numerous guises and collaborations was on constant play in those early years, along with artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Push, Matt Darey and any Ministry of Sound, Euphoria, Gatecrasher, Cream, Godskitchen or live mix cd he could get his hands on.

Later Above & Beyond and the early Anjunabeats roster/sound were essential listening... the 2004 Above & Beyond essential mix remaining one of his all time favourites. A summer working and partying in Ibiza in 2005 cemented his love of not just trance but electronic music in general.

Fast forward 12 years and after a move to Birmingham in 2017 a new found passsion, focus and desire for music has emerged. At first focusing on getting his Djing skills up to scratch Beat16 has spent the past few months taking his first steps into the world of music production. First track Airdrop is available exclusively on Choon with more to follow of varying styles of Trance and other genres throughout 2018 and beyond.

A few of the artists and DJ's currently rocking his boat are The Neptune Project (look them up on Choon!), Alex Wright, Factor B, John Askew and Keeno.
