I had a lot of fun on the 7/31 episode of The DSXXX as I went digging through the crates to deliver the goodies. There’s a bunch of new treats in addition to some oldies to round things out. I just discovered Paul McCartney and Wings last week and threw Bluebird from Band on The Run in the mix, and The Beatles reared their head again with Cecilia Stalin’s version of Norwegian Wood. Speaking of popping up, when Fashawn’s free mixtape FASH-ionably Late dropped in December, I had no idea who Chapo was, but Po for President left an impression and I did some research to discover more about Fashawn’s favorite candidate. Little did I know 7 months later El Chapo would be all over the news for his breakout and subsequent “beef” with GOP Candidate, Donald Trump. What a funkin’ coincidence!
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who supported the Bilal Collabs mix - there are two Bilal cuts in this session, and there’s more where those came from so there may be a pt.2 soon to come.
