A new guitar always brings not only new sounds but also a very special feedback for the improvised playing. For some time I was looking for this very rare instrument, now I found it: an Eastman Archtop AR-403 CE Violin Varnish. The special feature is the particularly thin surface, a kind of shellac finish, which favors the clear, warm and natural woody sound of the instrument. I put on new strings and just played directly in my Koch tube amp (without microphone) and tested the sound in this spontaneous first-take improvisation, how it will respond and what character it has. No editing, cuts or effects, just the direct recording output from the amp in one take. Wishing you the fun when listening as I had playing it.
