A little soundcheck with my historic "Framus Cutaway" jazz guitar from 1958. Hard to play but with a wonderful vintage sound. The guitar is fully solid built and strongly arched. The subsequently installed pickup is the legendary AZ 48 Attila Zoller model (fits perfectly with this old and rather well-preserved instrument). The string distance to the fretboard is very high (0.13 Thomastics help to stabilize the sound), as the most guitars of that time did not have a tension rod (means: hard work to play them :). But on the other hand this guitar is wonderfully lightweight and has a stunning natural feel. Well, this little improvisation came out on my first real soundcheck (played over a small old tube amp and recorded by a zoom handy recorder).
