Dave Askani Coates

Since the moment Dave Askani Coates first heard house music back in the mid 80s Dave was hooked that remained an important part of his life since the age of 9 Driven by an almost childlike curiosity, a vivid imagination Dave started DJing gaining his first gig at the City Bar in Chester back in 1997.
Dave eventually hooked up with Paul Bugby and Paul McGuinness who together formed Inbetween DJs a deep house production and DJ-ing team who first got signed to the late Aaron Carl's Wallshaker Music based in Detroit there first EP gained critical acclaim by some of biggest DJ's within the music industry such as Laurent Garnier, John Larner and Paul Woolford.
Over the years Inbetween DJ's also got tracks signed to 3am Recordings, Fragile Records and Disco Revolt and Harkee Records.
DJ-ing wise Inbetween DJs started hosting the Chibuku Pre Parties back in 2004 as well as gaining regular appearances at the infamous nights in Chesterfield known as Detune playing along side the like of Al Bradley and Rythmn Plate they also played regular within the Liverpool and North West area playing at Aztec in Liverpool and Stylus based in Manchester they also gained a residency at ETC playing along side DJS like 16bit Lolitas.
In 2009 Dave decided to set up a solo project called Askani and push more of a tech house sounds within a couple of months Dave's first EP called Revenge of The Lizards EP was picked up by a Spanish label called Harkee Records which Dave also released 2 more EPs and a couple of remixes as such Dave tracks even got picked up and played on John Digweeds Transmission radio show following Harkee Dave was also signed to 3AM Recordings, Bullet Dodge, Devoted Recordings, Doormat Sounds, Groove Life Recordings, Structive Recordings, Soho Recordings and Purple Gorilla Records.
Dave is also label owner of Jingo Recordings which set up in 2013 concentrating on bringing the best up and coming artists through to more established producers Dave ethos with Jingo Recordings is based on early influence from Chicago house through to the deeper organic sounds that you would find on the dance-floors of clubs like Fabric.
How would you describe Dave's sound well a mixture of deep tech house with Detriot overtones though to Chicago House and anything in between basically to sum it up House Music.
