Sherl is no stranger to the art of making music, and his eclectic background goes a long way back. When he was only 12 years old, he received his first drum kit and started experimenting with rhythms and sounds with his older brother, Thomas, on the keys and organs. Following those important early steps, Sherl went on to perform with a wide variety of band, exploring different musical philosophies and genres throughout the years. Ultimately, electronic music production became one of Sherl's most prominent interests, as he was immediately fascinated with the seemingly endless possibility that this open-format genre presents to creative music makers. In particular, his recent song Boogie Boy released with a remix by fellow artist Andy Bach is a beautiful testament to his eclectic background. Three different versions feature influences as diverse as early disco, future funk and classic house, while remaining modern, compact and edgy in terms of production aesthetics. This release can be considered "revival", but it's not just nostalgia: there's a lot of amazing innovation and personality in every track version.
