Chris Cok

Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland

A professional DJ since his early teens. A musical ambassador and and a champion of techno – you name it, Chris been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions – playing music, breaking tunes and celebrating life.

It was at the age of 16 that Chris was given a set of turntables and began working as a mobile DJ. Disco was the first music that captivated him but by the early 90s Cok had moved on to playing the same music as other young Frankfurter DJs – rare groove, New York hip-hop and electro. He was perfectly placed to hear Chicago house music in its earliest forms, and when the epic sound of Frankfurt came out in early '90. “It was then that I thought, 'This is it,’ says Chris. “I would do my parties, and I'd play old rare groove and hip hop and soul and I would say. Right you've got to hear this sound of Frankfurt and people would just stop. It's funny because all the people who thought I had freaked out then are the people who are making the music now."

Chris legendary Music Hall, U 60311, Lloret de Mar residency also continues to break boundaries. Celebrating an astounding 12 consecutive years at Bambers, St. Trop, Chris and PTB Management have built their weekly residency into one of the most popular nights. This, along with Chris’s highly involved and passionate role as promoter, programmer and host, is why each year has seen a growth and progression from the last, both in terms of quality and size. “We have a successful night because we just batten down the hatches and stick to what we do best, which is give value for money,” explains Chris.

All this and still Chris "local" radio show on Radio Darmstadt 103,4 "Das Bootshaus" now reaching over 10.000 listeners worldwide on FM, Satellite and DAB stations throughout 13 countries.
