Seven Oddities Records came to life in Uptown, Chicago IL the year 2000. The object for the creation of it was the lack of support Underground artists received and still receive today. Chicago has much talent hidden beneath the shadows of mainstream/pop-rap. However much of that talent is wasted, either on the streets or given up on due to lack of support from the city itself. The idea behind Seven Oddities was to make our own label and control everything. Founder, DreamTek is all about taking care of things in house. Meaning we handle every aspect of the process. From producing sick beats, recording, mixing down & mastering, scratching, Videos, web design and album artwork. We do it all ourselves and never have to out source to get a project done and sounding good.

We don't operate as normal labels do. Its always family before business on our end. We run a tight knit family over here. Every artist works on solo albums as well as joining in on any type of collaboration projects we make as a unit. We are not a group. Just a collective of solo artists. Though at times we may release group type projects such as "40oz Kings" or "Bottom Dollar Scholars" albums, for example. At the end of the day we are all our own artists free to choose what we create and appear on. The label itself, has become a home for grimy Underground Hip Hop at its finest. We took a long time to establish a sound that defines us. Every Artist on the roster has a unique style all their own, but when we come together on tracks the flows fit together seamlessly. Everybody on board has nothing but love for this culture. And we strive to keep banging out tracks that real cats can nod their heads to. The label has been around for well over a decade now. And we don't plan on going anywhere soon.
