Uncle Rick & Aunt Edna...This picture inspired this mix...This was our Beach Party at TD's in San Jose...late 1980's? Rick was always working the lights and taking requests and I was spinning the music. We found the beach attire at thrift stores. I'm hearing the Beach Boys and Technotronic and yikes...Use It Up Wear It Out...That was the floor packer this night for sure. I was mostly playing house music but lots of old school funk as well. And I'm also hearing many beach tunes mixed in...I used to make mixtapes for everyone and they loved when I included the playlist. That theme continues on today. I recorded every night I was a DJ. But all those tapes have been lost through the years of many moves...Hope you enjoy!
