Its not often you stumble upon a 9 piece soul band, who were so close to signing a deal with mca's new subsidiary Source records. But group politics and other factors got in the way, and the band shelved what music they had recorded. No reels surfaced but fortunately a member had kept some of those 1978 recordings. BETWEEN THE TWO seemed to fuse great soul compositions without the durge of the disco era circa 1978.
