The first region was Munich/Bavaria, in 1995 the magazine has already been published in southern and middle Germany. Until the media crisis in 2002 Partysan growed to the biggest european magazine for techno and house music. Additional to the magazine the company run three artist booking agencies where the majority of the german DJs were managed. The magazine itself was financed by advertising customers out of the fast emerging electronic music business like Clubs, Festivals, DJ-& Producer Equipment Manufacturer, Record Labels & Stores etc..

One of the keys of success was the regional structure. Every region was a managed as profit center with own regional issues, teams etc. During media crisis Partysan developed a blog-style homepage which reflected the regional structure. The main blog contains general content like interviews, reviews, news, national / international events etc. The regional sub blocs covered all regional based topics, especially events, club news and a huge party picture gallery.

The main key of success has always been the passion for the music, the scene and all topics around. The main purpose of the partysan members was to take care of the music and scene by inform the crowd, being part of the scene, build up new topics or directions, drive the development of existing areas but also save the philosophy and culture of this music genre.
