For such a happy uplifting mix of records, theres a lot of sadness surrounding it.

I had just received my special order MINI Cooper car the fall of 2008. Ever since my friend, Chris (he called himself "Purity Control" on the internet) of Allentown PA got his in 2002, I wanted one too. Its such a bad ass car with classic history behind it, Porche-esk styling, and lots of video game references in the design of the drivers seat. It took me a while to get mine and by the time I did Chris became estranged from me and didn't even want to see it. Chris was a good friend, I don't know what happened but it makes me sad.

On the bright side I learned of the MINI Cooper clubs that revolved around this car. I made this mix to give out at the first MINI meet up I found. I thought it might go over well since its all 1992 British dance music which is loosly related to MINIs. I made an effort to play the classic anthems in this set along with the weird tracks since I was trying to convert people who never heard this music before. Only one guy there really dug it. His name was Manny and it was his house that the house party was at. He was really into bike riding and was quite fit so I'm sure he enjoyed it while biking around. I found out only a few months ago that he died from cancer.
