Sirens Of Lesbos - Essays Volume 1 | Exploited

by Exploited

This is our personal favourite of the label for this year!

Included in DMC UK Buzzcharts and Mixmag Reviews. Premiered by Big Shot Magazine & Deephouse Amsterdam. Props from Tim Sweeney (Beats in Space), Axel Boman (Pampa/Studio Barnhus), Tensnake (True Romance), dOP (Circus Company), Acid Pauli (Crosstown Rebels), Patrick Pulsinger (Cheap Records/Hercules&Love Affair)...
Functional, ethereal, hallucinogen, deep, oceanic, balearic disco house. This is how Sirens Of Lesbos' first volume of their new ESSAYS series sounds like:
Moving across the genres...
While SOL's signature material is rather song structured / radio orientated, ESSAYS displays a different, more experimental and 100% dancefloor oriented dimension of the group. Volume 1 is a shamanic silver bullet for all DJs who praise dream-like house music, electronic synthesized melodic beats & grooves and some Ibiza Sunshine.

Tim Sweeney:
"Nice one."

Axel Boman:
"Polynesian Dance at sunrise at Sunset Campout this week is the plan! The SOL release is great!!! Love it!! :)"

Tensnake:
"Quite a strong EP."

Mixmag:
"Wicked - like a mature nintendo game aimed at the dancefloor."

dOP:
"Like the happy mood of Polynesian Dance!"

Acid Pauli:
":)"

Patrick Pulsinger:
"1980s Japan!"

Friendly Fires:
"Lovely. Polynesian Dance is ecstatic."

DMC UK Worldmagazine:
"3 beautiful and unique tracks bringing smiles and grooves to the floor. Polynesian Dance looks set to be a classic for sure."

Deephouse Amsterdam:

'Their new EP on Exploited will undoubtedly make its mark in this month’s release calendar. The three-tracker gets under your skin from the outset. Premiere 7 Minutes in Tibet is less of a dance-floor filler than it is a perfect after party anthem.'

Big Shot Magazine:
newsflash.bigshotmag.com/mp3s/...3s/stream/37095
'This month the wildly creative posse return with Essays Volume 1, an EP tailored exclusively for the dance floor. “Together In 1980s Japan” is a dreamy disco-house affair sporting a bouncy bassline, shimmering melodies, crafty synth-driven bleeps and oh-so-angelic vocal samples.'
