Chris Menis

Chris Menis started playing tunes to crowds in 1996 and quickly established himself with residencies at the legendary Gravity and Elysium clubs.

Known simply for the amount of energy he put into his sets and the ability to read a crowd, Chris quickly became a crowd favorite. At the age of 17, Chris began to play abroad touring the UK playing at events including Future Dance at Bagleys film studios, Bowlers in Manchester and The Aquarium Club in East London and was lucky enough to share the stage with the UK's Pioneers Slipmatt, Scott Brown, Brisk and Sy.

In 1998 Chris was the first Resident to break boundaries of the harder and underground sounds at the legendary Rise nightclub, warming up for super acts such as Ferry Corsten, CJ Bolland & Paul Van Dyk and from there went on to regularly feature at events on the East coast Dj circuit, headlinging major events such as Fantasia Two Tribes and Utopia alongside names like Mauro Picotto, Hyrbid, BT & Fergie.

Production wise, Menis has sold records all over the world with his releases on UK record labels Blatant Beats, Destructive Force and Hechtech records. He has also had his collaboration with Marc Smith, 'Thick and Fast', featured on Hardcore’s most successful mix series ever made – Bonkers.

Fast froward to today: Chris still maintains his wizard-like approach to putting sets together and is flexable across a broad range of styles, laying his sets down at events such as Perth's Southbound Festival, Laneway Festival & Hyperfest to name but a few.

Put simply, Chris brings a wealth of experience and a versatile approach to create a lively atmosphere in any venue, a true firestarter to any crowd that is up for it!
