Vdj Ezem Kiki (Nairobi Street King)

Vdj Ezem Kiki, real name Abdirahman Ezem Kiki and the Third-born of four siblings, never dreamt of becoming a DJ when he was young. After completing primary school at Nairobi Academy in Nairobi West with a mean score of 398 and his secondary education at Nairobi Sibosi Boys High School in Juja-Nairobi with a mean grade of B+, he proceeded to UON (University Of Nairobi) for a diploma in Business Management.
However, his life took an unexpected turn when he started experimenting with VirtualDJ, a music mixing software and after a three-month audio production course at Nick-Dee-Entertainment Production Studio in the Nairobi CBD, Ezem Kiki immersed himself in his new-found passion. He started creating head-banging, half-hour music mixes and distributing them in well-labeled compact discs to matatus plying the Nairobi West-Langata route, where he lived with his Parents. Heart Broken Mix Vol 1 was the first music mix he created and was first played in a matatu in mid-2010.
