Valentin de Moreda

With 35 years of experience as a professional DJ and producer, Valentin de Moreda has extensive musical experience, having worked in some of the best clubs worldwide.

In Mallorca, where he has lived since 1995, he has worked at various clubs, including Garito Café, Kingkamehameha, Tito's (IN), and El Último Paraíso on Es Trenc beach (as DJ and manager responsible for those unforgettable events), “Pacha,” “El Divino Mallorca,” “Tito's (IN),” “Puro Hotel,” etc.
He is currently a resident DJ at “Nu Mallorca” Beach, “Nanai Beach,” “Randemar,” Ponderosa Beach, Brooklin Club & Hotel Villa Chiquita -Rooftop (Mallorca).

Over the past few years, he has shared the booth with international DJs of the caliber of Carl Craig, Kevin Yost, Jazzanova, Rainer Truby, Llorca, Charles Webster, Peter Kruder, Patrick Turner, Jimpster, Atjazz, Kiko Navarro, Willy Graff, Alex Kid...etc.

An eclectic DJ par excellence, there is no musical genre that he cannot handle: downtempo, soulful, nu-disco, Afro beats, Andean beats, house, tech house... to the most elegant electronic music... always accompanied by an unmistakable groove.

He states that his main objective is the continuous search, development, and fusion of electronic music within his wide range of musical styles.

He has a degree in sound engineering and works as a teacher, giving classes to music lovers and enthusiasts.

Currently, under the pseudonyms “Call me Shiân” & “Serpiente Dorada,” he provides music for Ecstatic Dance events, where through organic rhythms (Afro beats, Andean, Electronica, etc.), free dance without rules, one experiences an encounter with oneself through a therapeutic approach.

Involved in several projects in the beautiful world of art, he belongs to the Fantástica Collective—a union of three artists whose projects are immersed in the interesting and magical world of art, dynamic ideas brimming with energy and expression.

He also composed and produced a series of CDs for the artist Hristina Milanova entitled “Feng Shui ART.”

1984 – Singer in the rock & roll band “Alien”

1989/1992 – Owner and DJ at the club “Esto se Mueve,” playing electronic, pop, and new age music.

1997/2010 - Freelancer for “Musicasa,” one of Europe's leading stores selling instruments, hardware, software, lighting, etc., distributing brands such as Roland, Yamaha, Korg, Akai, Mackey, etc.

2004/2006 - Valentin founded the “Selekta” collective together with video artist Mitos. He himself defines this work as “an innovative position that offered an artistic selection of productions combining live music, mixing sessions, and visuals, thus providing total freedom of movement and improvisation.” In this new adventure, he was accompanied by trumpeter Nestor Casas, plus the voices of Aqueel and Derrick Burrows a.k.a. D7, bassist Steve Bergendry, and guitarist Masa.

2002/2009 – Garito Café (Palma de Mallorca), where he worked under the heading “A Lounge Vision,” a label focused on creating a musical mix of electronic music, jazz, soul, funk, and images.

2005/2008 - PR Manager for the prestigious institution “World's Finest Clubs”

In 2009, de Moreda was involved in a wide range of exciting and innovative projects, including the creation of a series of sessions called “Phonova,” which fuse deep house and disco music.
Another project was created together with J/Ru a.k.a. RU, called “Wax Groove” (3 decks, effect processors, vocalists...), a fusion of electronic music with radiant funk, soul, dub, R&B, and scratch.
