Universal Cave is a record label headed by the Philadelphia trio Shawn Ryan, Ryan Todd and Brian Hart Cassidy. The label originated as the result of years of collective digging, DJing and production. Known for their eccentric mixtapes, extensive record collections and discovering rare grooves, Universal Cave DJs clubs and all night dance parties, filling floors to an eclectic range of music they dub Forward Deep & Free.

The record label has eight releases, ranging from signature soft rock and AOR to disco, boogie, and deep house. Artists include The Beat Broker, Sorcerer, Jaz and Selvagem.

Shawn Ryan is also one half of the duo Superprince, who recently released their debut 12" on Razor-n-Tape Records. Ryan M. Todd (Darklord Disco, Hounds of Hell, Darklord Chimney, one half of Robotique) is also label head of Going Home Records. Brian Hart Cassidy is a California transplant, record dealer, human potential advocate, and former host of music podcasts and rather illicit parties at the Philadelphia Art Alliance.
