TIKAL

Tribal Garden   ))   France

Influenced by 90's music, fusion & metal since her youngest age, Victoire Cartagena aka Tikal has built an eclectic and varied musical repertoire that she keeps expanding through time: The Mars Volta, Björk, Soundgarden, RATM, Deftones, Incubus, Queens of the Age or YOB, Limp Bizkit, Electric Octopus and The Black Angels... Later, these powerful movements gave her the taste to explore her musical horizon in more depth thanks to Electronic music.
Unconditional fan of High Tone since high school, she gradually turns to bass music by listening to her first Drum and bass tracks.
We can find artists such as Netsky, Andy C, Ed Rush, or Dj Hidden... Shortly after the excitement of these parties in Paris, Victoire became passionate about Dubstep music and started to focus more on Deep Dubstep.
The state of mind and the rhythm of these parties quickly pushes her to understand her passion for Bass Music and this 'against the grain' way of life which always pushes the limits of the music and its exploration to infinite possibilities. A few years later, she then started mixing under the name of Tikal.
It was in 2017 that she created the Tribal Garden collective within the 'Festival Pour un autre monde '(Festival for Another World) , a 'chill out' spot with alternative music and the style of nomadic and ethnic camps.
By moving away from the dancefloor spirit, i stand out with a Chill Bass, Deep Dubstep sound while keeping a tribal sound imprint sometimes obscure with intense infrabass.
For Tikal, each set is told like a story in which the spectator is himself immersed with the artist, that is to say a sound experience and a sometimes introspective, powerful and bewitching story that allows us to reconnect a little more with ourselves and with others.

These favorite labels are : Indigo Movement, Fatkidonfire, Duploc, Chord Marauders, Weaponry, Samurai Music, Innamind Recordings, Artikal, Foundation Audio, Subaltern Records.
