A program featuring unpublished concert recordings of the great American pianist Joseph Villa (1948-1995). The titanic artist had a cult following, largely due to a private recording of a 1991 concert performance of Rachmaninoff's Second Sonata that circulated on cassette, featuring pianism of the highest order. That performance and others that have never been publicly shared before are featured here from source material provided by the pianist himself to host Mark Ainley in the 1990s.
