Original & Cover - She Never Touched My Soul (Like Rock 'N' Roll)

by The East Village Vampire

I'll state the obvious, being a musician is a bumpy ride. Over the journey there are many ups and downs. It doesn't take too much to make you feel on top of the world and it takes even less to make you question what the hell you are doing.

With that in mind, I recently posted a song of mine called 'She Never Touched My Soul (Like Rock 'N' Roll). Thinking it was just another post I was completely blown away when a musician I have respected and enjoyed for a long time called 'The Sweet Disorder' did a cover version of the song.

It is seriously one of the most humbling musical experiences of my life. To think that someone on the other side of the world actually values what I do and would devote their precious time to cover my work is just simply amazing. It is even more amazing in that I completely love his version of the song.

So here are both versions. Both are different. But like all great covers The Sweet Disorder takes the tune into completely different sonic territory.

It is a serious thrill.
