SWIZZ DELIGHT BIOGRAPHY
Born in and raised in a small town called Springs, east of Johannessburg, Swizz Delight (real name Sizwe Nsibanyoni) always had a great passion for music since childhood.
Inspired and influenced by the greats such as DJ Fresh, Oskido and DJ Cleo, just to name but a few, Swizz Delight began collecting music and DJaying at the age of 13. He has now reached his 15th year mark as a self taught music producer since he developed the ability to create music in 2006.
Swizz Delight has worked with a variety of local up and coming musicians of various genres of music over the years, which came as a great opportunity and tool for him to sharpen his skill and versatility as a producer.
In 2015, Swizz Delight took upon a mentorship under a fellow music producer and neighbour Khotso Nkholise. He was taught the fundamentals of melody creation, arrangement of a song, mixing and mastering, all of which to this day, he is still undergoing his training to further perfect the skill. Art is a continuous process of learning, and one can never truly say has mastered the craft.In 2016 he entered the Redbull 10 Years of Black Coffee remix competition for the song entitled ‘Music Is The Answer’ by Black Coffee featuring Ribatone of which he came in the top.
Swizz Delight continues on his life long journey as a DJ and music producer with great ambition. On the 30th of April 2020, he released his very first E.P entitled ‘Unbound’. That obviously means there is still more music to come, and people may expect more from this young man in the future.
He has now teamed up with his mentor Khotso Nkholise, also known as The Maige, to released their very first collaborative project entitled ‘Analogue Sounds In A Digital World’. It’s a 14 track album of pure deep soulful house music. It is available on digital stores for purchase and streaming. See links below.
