My name Siyabonga Nkululeko Dube, a music producer/lover/collector from Pietermaritzburg [Kwa-Zulu Natal], I take myself as an ordinary being who like everybody else was graced by the love of music. My musical journey is quite lengthy tracking all the way back to the year 2005/6. I come from a small township called Imbali, where my entire story begins but it would take pages & pages to baby step through that so better I touch on a few. Music is a vital fabric in us all I believe, one way or another we all encounter the phenomenon of sound. In the hood especially, I grew up mainly listening to the house, like Gqom & dance music. It was big we had just crossed over from the kwaito era so it was still that phase in time. At first I really wanted to become a DJ, after peeping my mentor & close friend Ayanda Mabaso playing around on virtual DJ, I was mind blown the idea of hearing two songs playing at the same time was just the next level, apart from that truthfully I really wanted the fame & the girls. Sometime along the way Aionic [Ayanda Mabaso] started using this program called Fruity Loops which was a complete experience, I tagged along until I eventually started making my own stuff. The rest is history, because it’s long, like really long. I go by many alter ego’s [Soul Arab, Blue Fluff, Fluff & The Afrikan Spear Chucker’s & Leko On Pluto just to mention a few] & this is just a start there so much more which I can talk about as yet they have all added to my musical growth as a lover & collector plus got some guidance from close friends. I feel blessed to have move from being a house head to this big pot with everything in it. All though done with love & realness, leading to one of the many reasons why we started MMU [Meet Me underground]; where we showcase talent by local talent and also have a monthly podcast were we host individuals talking about their musical journeys. I believe my role in the art realm is quite small but feel proud with the little that we do as MMU; my musical compadres 4PM & all associates one encounters in this music
