sub:merge’s aim is simple; use the incredible power of music combined with inspiring events unique to this world into spine-tingling and emotive sets.
Mister Trevor, an already well established DJ on the border of MK/ Northampton, has been DJ’ing for many years with gigs all around the county, including Roadmender in Northampton. It was this success and great knowledge of mixing that then inspired the fresh-faced lauren.T onto the scene. Lessons from Mister Trevor in either one’s homes and fiddling at the decks in whatever free time possible, led lauren.T to start mixing for herself and exploring new avenues of DJ’ing. From this, sub:merge was born; a father/daughter collaboration, fusing together both passions for house, electronic, disco, funk and soul with a lil’ electro-swing and heavy beats from D’n’B.
Both DJ’s are also inspired by this little blue planet that we live on, and even, beyond our atmosphere into the deep, dark depths of space. Currently we are in an environmental crisis with change needing to happen immediately. Everyone knows the power of music to move people, so sub:merge creates a fusion of awe-inspiring and ground-breaking happenings in with some spectacular music, to bring our audiences together and remember why we should be fighting to protect the planet we live on.
