music made with urban field recordings as the dominant sonic material and almost entirely without FX like reverb, delay, flanger etc... the idea is to maintain as much as possible the sonic reality of the places in which the field recordings were made so as to embed the music in those places, or embed the places in the music, in a way that we rarely hear in popular music
