Sparki Dee (aka Aqua V)

Margate, United Kingdom

Hardcore breaks, jungle, drum n bass, trance producer - 2004 till present
DJ since 2002 till present.
Labels: Hardcore Lives, Kode 5, Red Alfa, Climactic.

Interest in music started for me as a young lad growing up in Kent on the South Coast. At the time in the 90s rave/dance music was very much a part of the scene and littered the top 40. I took on board this new sound and instantly loved it. By the late 90s I was experimenting with sounds via various music games on the playstation and PC.

By 2002 I turned my hand to DJing. As time went on I took properly to producing in the summer of 2004 creating my first track on MMM (Magix Music Maker) then later switching my attentions to Fruity Loops gaining a wider knowledge of how to create full tracks.

In 2005 I joined Pie Factory Studio where they helped me to brush up on my DJing skills once again whilst also helping me to produce quality music. By 2006 I had my first release on the studios album "The Zone - A Piece Of The Pie" my drum n bass track "Gnarler" being praised highly by the youth music projects.

I had further success with my music in 2007 when Annie Nightingale played my demo track "A Force To Be Reckoned With" on her Radio 1 show. In 2008 I had further airplay on internet and pirate radio stations with my varied range of tracks spanning across Drum n Bass, Breaks and House. In 2009 I achieved more airplay via BBC Introducing and again on Annie Nightingale's Radio 1 breaks show.

By 2010 my music was signed to Azzuro Digital where I released a further two singles "Slipping Away" and "Modern Man" the label eventually folded before it pretty much started. I am now releasing music independently via CD Baby and iTunes releasing more tracks "Bang Tidy" "Evil Forces" "9ine O 9ine" "Turbulence" as part of the "Diverse Connection EP".

Alongside my producing I managed to keep DJing at parties as well as securing a residency at a local bar in 2011. In 2007 I briefly DJ'ed on Pukka FM. In 2009 I was running my own online station Shadow FM which lasted for three years, I also mixed live on Unity Radio and Essex Beatz. In February 2012 I secured a weekly slot on Nu Rave Radio playing various types of dance music.

My producing style is mainly Drum n Bass, Breaks, Hardcore Breaks but have always experimented and dabbled in genres like Trance, Hardcore, Old Skool, Chill Out to name but a few.

My DJing style spans over nearly all styles of dance music making me very versatile and adaptable to different styles of music gaining a great following in the process. I hope you like what I have to offer. Feedback is always much appreciated.
