Shingaling Radio is the archive page primarily related to the number one soul-dance party called the Fun City Shingaling in St.Petersburg (Russia) with international guest DJs from Europe, United Kingdom, USA and Japan. This is the party where DJs spinnin' original 45s covering our favorite genres of dance music from the late '50s till the early '80s, such as R'n'B and Popcorn, Latin Boogaloo, Deep Funk, Northern and Modern Soul. Our guest have included DJ Spinna, Keb Darge, Snowboy, Ian Wright, Dj Vadim, Jazzman Gerald, Mr. Finewine, Euan Fryer, DJ Muro just to name a few.

Here you can check our live recordings made in the clubs or on FM stations locally and internationally while on tour.

The mastermind behind the Fun City Shingaling is record collector, promoter, executive producer, cook and audiophile better known as DJ Chak in Russia since the mid '90s, later known abroad as Fabulous Mr.C , who's currently lives in Tel Aviv (Israel). He was interviewed on pages of respected Blues & Soul Magazine in the United Kingdom, also at Nostalgia King blog in the USA and in various local magazines.

Because DJ Chak's activity began in Acid House era in St.Petersburg, thought his interest layed down more into Acid-Jazz music, '90s Hip Hop and '70s Funk ... you may find something from the way back here, recorded long time before we even launched Fun City Shingaling, and finally uploaded here as Shingaling Radio anyway because we like it.

The Fun City Shingaling is our standard of quality, everything starting with Shing-A-Ling is perfect: from our graphic design of flyers, stickers, posters and our limited edition fan club 45s to the analog sound system we use everyday, and, of course, the records we play.
