Senhor is an energetic DJ from Cape Town, South Africa, who began her music journey at 9 years old after taking music lessons. She graduated from the Academy of Sound Engineering with a Diploma in Audio Technology: Broadcasting and Radio. With over seven years in the music industry, she focuses on genres like Deep House, Afro House/Tech, and Gqom.
Currently, she works with hip hop artists Orish and K Keed as their designated DJ and together Senhor and K.Keed pioneered events such as Boileroom:Miller , Rocking the Daisies 2023 , Red Bull BC One , Cotton Fest , Ivyson Tour in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Mentored by hip hop culture, she supports many local musicians as their DJ, including famous rapper Dee Koala and have also performed at several significant events such as Cotton Fest JHB and Grants Whiskey with TKZee tour.
Senhor has also played on big stages such as the Gin & Tonic Festival and the Jameson Distillery Tour to name a few and has built partnerships with brands like Puma South Africa and gained radio exposure through her mixtapes aired on popular stations, including YFM , 5FM, Gagasi FM and international platforms. Senhor has also curated DJ lineups for art events like The Reset Market in Cape Town, merging her interests in music and fashion. She achieved her first international gig in Moscow in August 2023 and has since released mixtapes on Apple Music with collaborations from various international organizations. Her performances have expanded to Johannesburg, where she plays at numerous local events. She has recently participated and shortlisted in the Utopia Fest competition and collaborated with the Finesse Store , Australian Sneaker store , for a special mix.
Her talents also led her to perform at the Diesel Afterparty after the store's renovation. Future plans include hosting a gig on Stardust Radio in Ibiza in June 2025. With many upcoming appearances, there is much more to look forward to from Senhor in the music scene.
