The third song finished for this year’s RPM Challenge is the 13th song started. As with everything this year it’s too long. The vocals are a bit too pitchy, but I think I can live with it today. Ask me again tomorrow and I might have a different response.

I like the chorus a lot. I apologize to all who enjoy funky music for my butchering an entire genre in the verses, but damn if it isn’t fun to do.

The found sound bit at the end came from here: freesound.org/people/jasonmchl...hl/sounds/55352

I was thinking about using street sounds on every song, but now I think I might just throw it into a couple. At first I was thinking about street preachers, then I was thinking about Jim Jones speeches. Now I’m thinking of being random.

The guitars are all Gibson ES-335 Pro. The amps are all a Vox AC15 and a Fender Bassbreaker 15 which were both used on all parts. The rhythm tracks used a crybaby wah into a Ryra The Klone into a Malaise Forever Black Lives Matter. There were two different lead parts. One used a Wampler Plexi Drive Mini and the other used the Ryra into a Wren and Cuff Super Russian.

Verse 1
I tend to think about the way it feels
I tend to focus on the pain
If it can help me make it through the day
I guess that means that it’s okay

Verse 2
I take these pictures so I won’t forget
The things that go on day to day
If it annoys you I apologize
But I still do it anyway

Chorus
I want to tell you something
But I come up with nothing
What ever keeps this running
That’s all there is

Chorus
Verse 2
