Ask anyone in Rigel solidarity what first inspired them to make music and “common vision” name is sure to crop up. Not only have they notched up an incredible two years behind the decks, DJing everywhere from dingy illegal warehouse parties to huge outdoor events, but their legendary radio show “Rigel” has helped spread the gospel of Rigel solidarity further and further afield. As resident at one of the biggest radio station “Resurrected Youth Radio” , they have personally oversaw dance music’s evolution from house to afro house and finally afrotech.

Rigel solidarity consists of ttwo brothers Abeenapa,Transmixsoul, formed 3 years ago by beenapa and later Transmixsoul. “it’s like school days hanging out with everyone wants to hang with the cool, but with us was a common goal to showcase our talent not individually but as a group.
It was also here that ‘Transmixsoul,a born and bred Kwazulu-Natal producer/diskjockey , first encountered budding young producers called duo. Back then, way before afrotech turned the music business on its head, we would play anything from soulful house, deep & and raw early afrohouse. All day’s entire production emits pure charisma. While their DJ Sets are drenched in both afro-laden house and afrotech (sprinkled with their famed frisky footwork of course) their productions don the same eclectic charm: flirting between playful, cut for the club and trippy, mischievous drums. It’s a unique approach to their artistry that is by far the pinnacle of the crew’s success thus far.

So with an abundance of new music in the pipeline, a new record label, fruitful diary, new and exciting collaborations and the promise of worldwide roll out of projects ,it seems the Kwazulu-Natal based “Rigel solidarity ” is truly flourishing as a sensation in the scene.
