As a child, I always wanted to be a train driver. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible back then because I wore glasses. But deep down, I've always been a railwayman.

As the holiday season began, I noticed again among my colleagues and friends that a lot of people were flying.

In a television documentary, a university professor and mobility researcher said that a holiday should begin with the journey itself, not just upon arrival at the destination.

Short distances can be covered by train instead of plane. Long car journeys can also be avoided by taking the train.

That motivated me to compose this song.
