The South Korean city of Gwangju is home to one of the country's most important universities, a center of knowledge for innovation and creativity. All of the faculties are certainly exciting, but we are particularly interested in the Art College. The architecture alone is fascinating, a circular building with different floors, each of which teaches different creative art genres. A spiral path leads step by step to the top, passing through all the creative areas. From painting and architecture to fashion design and sculpting, then the world of film, comics and manga, and of course new technologies, AI and computer programming. In an interview, we talk to Professor SEONG-MIN YUN, who teaches “Korean Painting”. He tells us about his courses and traditional Korean painting, but also about the concept of the college and Chosin University. You will also find information about the ACC, the “Asia Culture Center,” which is definitely worth a visit.
