La première mondiale d’un duo de musique expérimentale qui réunit deux musicien·nes de la foisonnante scène suisse ! Julie Semoroz est une passionnante artiste sonore qu’on a entendu à Météo en 2021 avec le projet Boxing Noise et aux côtés de la musicienne Emma Souharce. Joke Lanz est un pionnier de la scène indépendante électronique, un touche-à-tout qui passe de la musique improvisée à la musique expérimentale, entre noise et turntablism, entre performances et musique concrète. En plus de musiques pour le cinéma et le théâtre, de son travail radiophonique, de ses installations et de ses objets, on trouve deux constantes dans son œuvre : d’une part son travail de turntablist où il mixe platines et galettes de vinyl et d’autre part son projet « Sudden infant » qui en 2014, après avoir été durant 25 ans un projet pour soliste, est devenu un projet pour trio. Il a bien sûr été invité à plusieurs reprises à Météo, notamment au sein d’un trio avec la pianiste Sophie Agnel et Michael Vatcher. Electroniques et voix se mêlent pour dessiner un passionnant voyage sonore.

It is the creation of a new burning metal that provokes the total alliance of these two monsters of the Swiss xp-ambiguous scene that are Julie Semoroz and Joke Lanz! It screams, it whistles, it shouts and it can damage your speakers with a smile. Two people are sitting at a table. Nobody knows if they know each other or not. They eat and drink in silence but their brains are boiling. They communicate through noise and experimental sound poetry. Heads or tails, each concert is a surprise. Joke Lanz was born in 1965 in Basel and now lives in Berlin. He is a pioneer of the independent electronic scene, a jack-of-all-trades who moves between improvised music and experimental music, between noise and turntablism, between performance and concrete music. In addition to music for film and theater, his radio work, installations and objects, there are two constants in his work: on the one hand his turntablist work where he mixes turntables and vinyl wafers and on the other hand his action project “Sudden infant” which in 2014, after having been a solo project for 25 years, became a trio project. He has of course been invited to Météo several times, notably in a trio with pianist Sophie Agnel and Michael Vatcher. Julie Semoroz is a sound artist that we heard at Météo in 2021 with the Boxing Noise project and alongside musician Emma Souharce.
