Some 12" were gathering next to the records I'd normally play, but not fitting into a beatdown house set nor a jacking one and not a disco one either, just ending up standing there awaiting mixdown until more of their style came to. Finally they found the critical mass where I could make a somehow consistent mix. This is hi-tech funk with a dash of electric boogaloo thrown into it for good measure. You might even call it electro. Oldest tracks here is from the mid 80's by geniuses Juan Atkins and Ben Cenac et al and the newest was released just before last year by the likes of Gerald Donald and Kuba Sojka. This means it spans almost 25 years of of l-ectro. Somehow it took a detour through bangin' Dj Rush territory though, now how did that happen?! Anyway, they're all killers:
