Sounds of Live Erikson

Live Erikson is a sound designer and producer of electronic music. His broad spectrum ranges from down-beat, chill out, house, techno, trance, to classical electro.

Live Erikson was born in 1980 in Tyrol/Austria and at the age of 13 discovered his love of music and electronics. At 15, Live Erikson’s first acquisition was a Technics MK1210 Mixer and a second turntable followed promptly as well as weekly visits of record stores in Munich. Since then Live Erikson has invested in music devices and records.

In 1995 Live Erikson met Gerry Fischer and Chris Belfin and together they founded the Space Art DJ Team, consisting of two DJs and a didgeridoo player. News about the uniqueness of the Space Art DJ team got around fast, as it was completely new, two DJs mixing at the same time.

Live Erikson with two turntables and Gerry Fischer with the two legendary Denon CD players. Chris Belfin gave the whole thing an unforgettable character with his way of didgeridoo playing that quickly attracted techno fans into the rehearsal room from near and far.

In 1997 the Space Art Project developed its own music production and followed gigs at clubs and raves such as Blue Danube, Rave Nation, Black Box and many more. Space Art was supervised by the booking agency "Melrose Music" in Frankfurt and there were performances with greats from the scene as Mike van Dijk, Commander Tom, Miss Jaxx, Manga and more.

Space art won first prizes at the DJ Contest in 1999 and gained a record deal. This was the culmination of the beginning of the end. Space Art was reborn in 2013 with Gerry Fischer Live Erikson re-joined soon after.
In 2000, Live Erikson met his wife and they have a daughter. Sustainable development is very important for Live Erikson so he founded the non-profit organization "Initiative on Future Energies". in 2006.
