Biography Phat Beat

In early 90s, at the tender age of 11, Phat Beat got in contact with music. He was influenced by Hip Hop and the beginning of electronic music aswell as by 60s Funk`n`Soul and 70s Disco-beats.

In late 90s he has got his first record-player from Technics and vinyl-records, the black gold, he was addicted to right from the start.

After a short while he received several inquiries to make music for private parties and in 2001 he started acting as Resident DJ at the Piano Bar, a dancing-bar in his home-town Bielefeld.

2008 he organized the party-sequence „SNEEK“ in cooperation with his partner, in 2009 the party-sequence „Electro Basement“ and in result thereof several gigs in North Rhine Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Bavaria followed.

2011 he became Resident DJ at the party-serials „Hellwach“ and „Funk Fiction“, beginning of 2012 he moved to Berlin where he established the „Music Hospital“ in late 2013 and organized events at „KaterKiosk“ until this location has been closed.
End of last year he and his partner founded the DJ- and party-project „Phat Effects“ of which the first results you will be hearing from this year.

Biographie Phat Beat

Anfang der 90er Jahre, im zarten Alter von 11 Jahren, ist Phat Beat mit der Musik in Kontakt gekommen.

Hip Hop und die Anfänge der elektronischen Tanzmusik haben ihn ebenso geprägt wie 60er Funk´n´Soul und 70er Disco-Musik.

Ende der 90er kamen dann die Technics Plattenspieler in sein Leben und damit das Vinyl, das schwarze Gold, das ihn sofort süchtig gemacht hat und von da an nicht mehr aus seinem Leben zu denken war.

Nach einiger Zeit kamen diverse Anfragen für private Partys und ab 2001 war er Resident DJ in der Piano Bar, einer Tanz Bar in seiner Heimatstadt Bielefeld.

2008 startete er dann mit einem Partner die Partyreihe SNEEK. 2009 die Partyreihe Electro Basement und dadurch folgten Gigs im restlichen Nordreihn-Westfahlen sowie Niedersachsen und Bayern.

2011 wurde er Residend Dj bei den Partyreihen Hellwach und Funk Fiction. Anfang 2012 zog er dann nach Berlin, wo er Ende 2013 Music Hospital gründete und Partys im alten KaterKiosk veranstalte bevor dieser zu machte.

Ende 2015 gründete er mit einem Partner das Dj und Producer Project Phat Effects von den man 2016 die ersten Ergebnisse zu hören bekommt.
