Pray for More

Pray For More is the brainchild of Austrian born and raised DJ, Producer, Label Owner and Club Promoter, Roland Bartha.

He’s not a newcomer to this scene, having more than 25 years of experience behind the decks, including a 5 year Residency at one of Ibiza’s biggest and most prestigious clubs, Es Paradis Terrenal (1988 -1992).

During the same time he also played as a regular guest in some of Europe’s best and most famous clubs in nearly every major capitol, including Barcelona, Madrid, London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Milan, Munich, Hamburg, Brussels, Zurich or Vienna, to name only a few, but also toured the rest of the world, including Australia, the Far East and the USA.

Those experience led him into his first job within the music business, doing Remixes for the first ever release on the legendary Positiva Records label (Exoterix – Void) and on Hi-Life (Nootropic – NooReality), and also releasing his first own tracks on UK label Subrosa, which he also worked for as a Promotion Manager.

In 1993 he returned to his native country, Austria, and quickly established himself as one of the leading DJs in the booming House sector, and also as a driving force behind X-tended Records, a label based in Austria, where he released 12 tracks under different guises and also worked for as an A&R Manager.

Not happy with the parties that were going on by that time in Austria, he started his own Event Promotions company, putting on some of the most legendary parties the country has seen over the last 17 years and still is heavily involved in this side of the business, putting on around 20 parties a year, pulling more than 25.000 people.

But of course, he never stopped doing his own tracks over all these years neither, and so it’s no big surprise he released about 30 tracks over the years under various guises, before ending up with his main project, Pray for More. Under his Pray for More alter ego he released tracks on Subrosa, UDM, Defender, Plastic Fantastic, Con Brio and Lip Recordings, to name a few.

At the end of 2009, fed up with sending his tracks out to hundreds of labels to get a record deal, he started to lay down the basics for his own label, Mjuzieek Digital, which finally started off In July 2010 with it’s first release, of course by Pray for More, featuring Annette Taylor on vocals, and the rest is history as they say!

Mjuzieek Digital has been growing within only 16 months in business to one of the most hyped and respected labels in the “Funky House / Vocal House / Disco-Tech / Tribal House” genre, and is supported by all of the big ones and beyond! Now counting in at nearly 40 releases, with nearly as muchin the pipeline, the label now is far more than a label that only puts out Pray for More tracks. It has collected some of the hottest talents out there for the label, including Belocca & Soneec, Lauer & Canard, K-Klass, Mike Newman, Jetro, Muzzaik, Audiowhores, Blacksoul, Ghosts of Venice, Coqui Selection, Mark Simmons, Muzikfabrik, Robbie Taylor & Benny Royal, and many others.

So, no surprise you can find tracks from Mjuzieek Digital and Pray for More in nearly every big DJs Record box, but also on lots of radio shows and all important Download stores. And no surprise either, that Pray for More gets asked to do Radio Mixes for Shows worldwide on a nearly weekly scale, with dozens of Radio presenters loving the labels sound and also loving the Pray for More sound!

But doing radio shows is not what Pray for More is all about! No, it’s Pray for More as a DJ that still rocks clubs all over the place! Get Pray for More in the House, and you’ll have a rocking House, with the most upfront and much sought after music that you can get! A set by Pray for More is mostly a set of completely unreleased stuff that will destroy any floor, ranging from funky, pumpin’ and jackin’ House to techy Disco vibes, ending up with percussive Tribal Grooves…
