Paul “Mr Skink” was born in Bekkersdal, a small township situated between Westonaria and Randfontein in the West Rand of Johannesburg. From an early age, he developed a deep connection with music, a passion that has grown into a lifelong journey.

Influenced by the sounds of the early 90s, he was later introduced to the DJ scene in 1999 through his father and a late friend, attending old-school sessions and house music events around the West Rand and beyond.

As his passion grew, Mr Skink began organizing events and distributing mixtapes, steadily building his name within the local scene. With years of experience, knowledge, and refined skill, he has also dedicated time to mentoring and developing upcoming DJs.
